I am now 26 weeks pregnant and feeling pretty big. I saw the OB this week and my belly measured 33 weeks (if it was just one in there). Everything is going fine with each baby estimated at about 2lbs. We definitely have a boy and a girl in there – they were very co-operative at the ultrasound! At one stage the girl was prodding the boy – apparently the membrane between them is really thin and they can touch each other and feel each other move. I wonder if that means she is the one in charge in there?
The OB is looking at around 17 June (38 weeks) to do the planned C-section but I have a strong feeling they will be here before then, given Eleni arrived at 38 weeks. So we will have to wait and see when they decide to come. Either way, I will not be going through a 50 hour labor again thank goodness.
Leading names at the moment are Sophia for the girl and Leo for the boy. Christos particularly likes Leo (Leonidas) because of the historical connection. The film “300″ is out now and is about King Leonidas and the Spartan army – they held back 300,000 Persians from invading and overtaking Greece in 480BC with only 300 men.
