Eleni is now 21 months old. Her key achievement the last month is that she is partly potty trained (will use potty if she has no clothes on the lower half). Should be interesting once it gets really cold. So now she runs around the house with just a top on and a bare bottom.
Her words are accumulating: Mumma, Dadda, ball, dog, wow, up, down, nose, mouth, eyes, please (peese), ta (thankyou), pen (pencils), draw, eat, milk, Yia Yia, Papou, Grandma, Papa, balloon (baaoon), cheese, poo, wee wee, yeah, teeth, no, nice, me, spoon, bath, bye bye, yoghurt, clock, watch, rap rap, two, door – There are probably a few more plus I swear we have heard her say Starbucks and Raiders! She calls kangaroos ‘bounce bounce’ and for some reason The Wiggles are ‘bubba’.
She is loving music class. Her favorite songs are one about a hammer and saw, one about dusting and one about clothes in a washing machine. She likes them because they get to do the actions. She is completely mesmerised by The Wiggles – I think she likes Geoff best and loves to do the ‘wake up Geoff’ at the top of her voice.
This last week Eleni mastered the art of the somersault but still can not jump – but is getting close. You would think the somersault would be harder! Her hair is getting longer and she keeps having to push it out of her eyes. She has a new drawing easel so is right into drawing at the moment. She likes us to draw circles, boxes and stars so she can colour them in. She also likes to count as we go up the stairs with me but is fixated with the number 2 – every stair is 2.
She was Pocahontas for Halloween – and looked great as a little Indian princess.
