Down Under 2006

ET and Mommy at Noosa Beach

I (not pictured) arrived in Brisbane two weeks ago and have been having a blast with Aussiegirl and ET along the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and down to the New South Wales coast. Lots of hippie towns around here…AG’s Mum and Dad have a 25 acre farm in earthy Mullumbimby, where we spent our first week and are going to head back there for our last week. Right now, at a Gloria Jean’s in beautiful Mooloolaba connected with wifi. Staying with ET’s Aunt Julie and Uncle Tony and visiting her cousins. Stayed with Aunt Ann and Uncle Mark and cousins Matthew, Alex, and Helena in Port McQuarie last week. Unfortunately, it’s too cool to enjoy the ocean waters, but saw wild roos and koalas and ET played in the sand quite a bit. More later….

Our Yellow House

Our Yellow House

Pictured is the main reason for the lack of blog activity the last couple of months. Well, a new house and a one year old daughter.

It’s finally (semi) complete. We’ve moved in but they still need to finish a few things, including the red metal roof over the porch. We haven’t had the chance to enjoy the Virginia country life much yet though, as Aussiegirl and ET left just two days after closing and I’m leaving today to join them for a nice, long vacation Down Under. It is Winter down there, so don’t envy me too much. Plus, there’s that horrendously long flight. Not looking forward to it, but really looking forward to seeing the girls again. Really miss them. Hope Eleni remembers her Daddy. Anyway, hope to post occasionally from there.
