That’s what the Gay Marriage Amendments did yesterday in various states. I really think this issue mobilized both Republicans and right-leaning moderates to turn out and vote.
Dubya would also probably like to thank all the celebrity big mouths. The hatred of the Moores and Baldwins of the celeb world helped do Kerry in as well. Although he did sort of try to distance himself from some of those people, they were mean-spirited and vocal backers of him and hurt him by causing so much divisiveness. I can’t wait to hear their post-election comments and crying. So predictable. Probably stuff about how dumb Americans are, how they are afraid of what europeans think of us now, how America is going to the toilet, how we’ll be a bigger terrorist target, blah, blah, blah. Basically predicting doom in the next four years. Here’s just a sample:
…Yeah, I figure the venal scum will crawl back to power one more time — and that the great beacon of freedom and hope, the United States of America, will finally become a global joke…They have shamed this country, pissed on the Founding Fathers and killed so very many people. I wish them all that they deserve.
Hate-Maggots like Mr Layne and the Beastie Boys(great music, horrible politics) have helped divide this country. They can always take their pathetic asses to Canada. They let anybody in up there. Well, almost everybody.
“As Canadians, you’ll have to learn to embrace and use all the products and culture of Americans, while bad-mouthing their way of life”
John Kerry, in his concession, needs to make the best speech of his life to get these people to sit down, shut up, and get back on the team. I’m not saying to agree with everything The Man says. I don’t by a long shot. Dissent is good in a democracy. Just don’t be a minion of Osama and Co.
One country. One Constitution. One future.
May God Bless America.
